FOR HIS MERCY ENDURETH FOREVER
As we look through the windshield into 2012, the year 2011 starts to fade in the rearview mirror leaving behind success and failure - some goals achieved and some deferred. The fact that we can look back is ample reason to be thankful. Scripture reminds us in everything give thanks.

The revelation of Psalm 136 reveals and repeats a good reason to be thankful - “for his goodness and mercy endureth forever.” Everything that God gives us is connected to His mercy. God has no grounds to bless except through his mercy. He is Holy, righteous and pure and we in our natural nature are sinful. But God, rich in mercy, remembers us in our lowly state “for His mercy endureth for ever.” vs. 23 Thank God for His mercy.

Interestingly enough, the Word thank and the word think comes from the same root. So if one is to be THANKFUL one must be THINK-FUL. As we say goodbye to 2011, think and be thankful for what God has done and be newly inspired for greater gain in 2012.

By his grace and mercy through faith, we will purposely seek his kingdom first and anticipate that all our needs will be met.
